Beliefs

We believe there is one true God who eternally exists as three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, equal in glory and majesty, and perfectly united in being and purpose.

We believe God the Father created all things by his word and for his glory. He sovereignly sustains creation, faithfully keeps every promise, and graciously gave his Son for our redemption so that we might know and enjoy him.

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, he lived without sin, died in our place, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to the Father, reigns as Lord, and will return in glory.

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God. He glorifies Jesus, convicts the world of sin, gives new life, dwells within every believer, illuminates Scripture, and leads the church in truth, holiness, worship, and mission.

We believe the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, true and trustworthy in all they teach. Scripture is sufficient and authoritative for faith, doctrine, and life and must be interpreted faithfully in its context.

We believe every person is made in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent dignity and worth. Humanity rebelled against God and is separated from him by sin, unable to return apart from the saving grace found in Jesus Christ alone.

We believe Jesus Christ himself is the heart of the good news. Through his perfect life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension, he accomplished salvation for sinners, satisfied divine justice, displayed divine love, and reconciles us to God.

We believe the proper response to the gospel is repentance from sin and faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is never earned by our works, yet genuine faith produces a changed life of obedience, service, and joyful surrender to Jesus.

We believe salvation is the free gift of God: by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, for the glory of God alone. In Christ, believers are forgiven, declared righteous, adopted as children of God, given new life, and secured in eternal hope.

We believe the Holy Spirit continually forms believers into the likeness of Jesus. Through Scripture, prayer, worship, confession, Christian community, and faithful obedience, we grow in holiness while trusting God to preserve his people to the end.

We believe the Holy Spirit fills and empowers believers for witness, service, and the building up of the church. His gifts remain active and are to be welcomed, practiced with biblical order, and used in love for the mission of God.

We believe the universal church is the redeemed people of God, with Jesus Christ as its head. In local churches, believers worship God, receive biblical teaching, share life, pray, observe the ordinances, serve their neighbors, make disciples, and send the gospel to the nations.

We believe marriage is a covenant established by God between one man and one woman for life and is a living picture of Christ and his church. Scripture reserves sexual intimacy for this covenant, while the church is called to embody both truth and the welcoming grace of Jesus toward every person.

We believe Jesus gave the church two ordinances: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism by immersion publicly portrays a believer’s union with Christ in his death and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper remembers and proclaims Christ’s sacrifice and expresses our shared life in him.

We believe Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and gloriously. The dead will be raised, all people will face God’s judgment, evil will be finally defeated, and Christ’s kingdom will be fulfilled in the new heavens and new earth, where his people will enjoy him forever.
